I am a Mining safety engineer who uses best practices and their knowledge of mine design to ensure workers’ safety . I inspect the walls and roofs of mines, monitor the air quality, and examine mining equipment for possible hazards. As engineers gain knowledge and experience, I am a member of our local teachers' book club, where we read books on discipline and some other books. I am given greater independence to develop designs, solve problems, and make decisions.
